Listen up Monster High fans we have some very exciting news to share with you.

Mattel are just about to release their Monster High fashion dolls in New Zealand and if global sales statistics are anything to go by they’ll be flying off the shelves here too.

This month the Gloss team of kids and parents had the chance to have a sneaky peek at the dolls and accessories before their official NZ launch date on May 13, 2011.

So what did they think? Let’s see.

Draculaura, Clawdeen Wolf, Frankie Stein and Lagoona Blue are the coolest ghouls in school with their trendy fashions, accessories and scary cute pets!
GLOSS MUM SAYS:
My daughter is a huge fan of Monster High books so when she heard about the dolls she was so excited. She has already chosen the one she wants! Her favourite is Draculaura – the daughter of Dracula. My daughter has already circled their arrival date in NZ on the calendar so I don’t forget to take her to the shopping for her doll.  I guess we will be standing in line with a whole lot of other mums and daughters that day!

MISS SIX SAYS:
I like this bag because it is really fun and colourful. Mum showed me and my sister (8 yrs) the different ways of using it. My big sister likes the purse but I like running around and playing with my friends so I like the backpack. I’m going to save up my pocket money and get one.

Girls can stay stylish on the go with their Monster High Freakey Ring keychain. It can clip to anything and even has a secret mirror. It also features a scary cute pet and coloured ribbon.
MISS SIX’s SISTER SAYS:
These are really cool! My favourite part is the secret mirror. Sometimes when I put on my lip gloss it can look really messy because I can’t see what I am doing. Now with this keychain I will be able to put it on properly every time.

GLOSS MUM SAYS:
These dolls really caught my eye when I saw them. They are very different to the other dolls in the range but I really like them. They have these adorable little faces and they look quite sweet – well I think so anyway. I asked the girls which ones they like out of the two dolls but they couldn’t choose. They liked them both equally! I suppose these will be on the shopping list too come May 13.
