Biking is a great exercise and sport, and the entire family can don their helmets and have an adventure with their bicycles.  There are biking paths available in many areas, including special cycle trails you can take your own pace along for a fun family holiday.  Check to see what is available near you.

Go take a hike!  Pack a snack or two, fill the drink bottles, find comfortable shoes and protective socks, and then strike out around a favorite lake or park.  Many parks have hiking trails, but you can even hike through an adventurous path in the suburs if you want.  Consider the abilities of the smallest member and limit your hiking accordingly.

Swim together at a community pool, the beach, or the local recreation centre.

Consider investing in a trampoline with a guard net.  Observe all safety rules and take turns jumping.   Never allow two people to jump at the same time.  Your children will be thrilled to see their mum and dad taking their turn!

Rollerblading, roller skating, and ice skating are exhilarating activities that the family will enjoy.  There may be local rinks that are perfect for your needs, or you might consider outdoor venues suitable for any of these.
