Check out these tips to bring a little romance to your life this festive season!
Watch a romantic Christmas movie with your partner Love, Actually happens to be one of my favourite films of all time – it’s got all the right ingredients for a romantic movie: Colin Firth, Hugh Grant, the magic of Christmas, lots of requited and unrequited love, and of course, a happy ending. It’s cheesy I know, but we all love a bit of romance at Christmas! My other personal romantic Christmas favourites include The Holiday, The Family Man, While you were Sleeping and the classic from the 1940’s, It’s a Wonderful Life.
Get festive in the bedroom
Try dressing up as a sexy Santa, to get him in the festive mood! And check out Sexgear’s guide to Unwrapping this Christmas, for a sexy silly season surprise!
Decorate the tree together
I love decorating the Christmas tree and have ever since I was a child- use this as an opportunity to have some light-hearted fun with your man. Keeping your relationship fun is definitely a key to romance.
Visit a light display If you’re in Auckland, Franklin Road is of course a must, or you can snuggle up on a bean bag under the Telecom Christmas tree on Ponsonby Rd. Hold hands and give in to that magical feeling!
Go out for a Christmas date to spend time away from the kids/in-laws/extended family
If this is possible, it can be a great way to remind yourselves why you appreciate each other away from all the madness of the silly season. It can be easy to become stressed and snap at each other at this time of year, so take some time out and do something simple; go out for dinner, see a movie, or have fish ‘n’ chips on the beach.
