The survey was created for the first ever intimacy enhancing lubricants for couples, K-Y® Yours+Mine to reveal some very interesting truths about the way we think, feel and how adventourous we are in our relationships.

Here are some of the results…

When asked who would be the ideal fantasy Valentine’s Day date some clear leaders emerged.

Johnny Depp swooped first spot with 15% deciding he’d be the perfect companion, 11% rated Hugh Jackman highly and with 8% of votes, George Clooney was a fine third. Our local boys also got a few mentions, Richie McCaw and Dan Carter fought it out and drew with 7.3% and suprisingly beat Sonny Bill Williams who got 7.1% of the votes.

But we all must be doing something right as a huge 75% also picked their own partner as the ideal fantasy date!

The survey also revealed that a significant amount (19%) of Kiwis compare their own relationship to be a lot like our very own Dominic Harvey and Jay Jay Feeney. Coming a close second, 18% liken themselves with Sharon and Ozzie Osbourne (??) and 17% are like Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban.

Another local couple Kate Hawkesby and Mike Hosking also made the cut with 14% of Kiwis picking them as more on par with their relationship.

Overall, the most interesting finding was that 81% of couples want to be more intimate spontaneously with their partner. So what are the best ways to do this? A massive 63% believe their relationship would be improved if they made the first move more often, 45% felt nice compliments on a daily basis would do the trick and 28% said to simply invest in some new underwear.
