our-hearts-are-with-you.pngHere at My Sacred Place we send out heartfelt love and healing to all those in the Christchurch and Lyttleton regions and who have family and friends affected by this terrible tragedy.

We see such utter devastation, pain and suffering unfolding before our very eyes and it is a struggle to reason why the Universe would send us something so horrific and expect us to see the blessing and joy in it?

There are, however, such positive and uplifting stories of how we as humans, and especially us Kiwis, are able to overcome any challenge life throws at us: miracles of survival, neighbours pooling what little they have to share with others, communities opening their hearts and homes to those in need, total strangers risking their lives to help others…..the list goes on.

Each and every one of us has been touched by this tragedy (we send love and healing to you too), and there will be other challenges sent to test us and shake us to our very core. So how do we as individuals, as a community, and a nation get through such times?

See the Blessing. As the saying goes “every cloud has a silver lining”. It is vital to see the good in the event in order to quickly shift the negative energy and allow positive energy to emerge. This can begin the healing process quicker. Give gratitude for those blessings, however small they may seem.

Ask Your Guides & the Universe for Help. We have so much help at hand to get through any challenge; all we need to do is ask for it and it will come in whatever form we need it to be in at that moment. All we need to do is be open to receiving it.

One Step at a Time. You can ask “what is my next step? Then have the courage to take action and that next step will bring forth the next one and so on. You may not know where those steps will lead but they will lead you forward.

Keep Moving Forward. See yourself moving forward and ask every single morning “What can I do today to move forward?” Then take that step.

Have Faith and Trust. Take those steps and move forward in trust – the Universe never sends us anything we cannot get through.

What is the Lesson? All our experiences are offered to us for our learning and development so look at what you are learning within the experience. Lessons of courage, persistence, guts, determination, love, giving and receiving are all examples of how your soul has chosen to learn and evolve.

There is Always a Choice. Even not making a choice is still making a choice. Don’t stop to worry about what you can “lose” or how you can “win” just listen to your heart and take the step.

Life is on Our Side. Everything happens for a reason and some of our most challenging moments have, in hindsight, taught us the most amazing lessons, given us the biggest gifts, and been blessings in disguise.

Light a Candle. A candle is a symbol of peace and hope that brings light to the darkness.

We ask you to join us in lighting a candle to remember those whom we have lost and honour those people whose courage and spirit will prevail. We send our light and love.
