Christina Roys caught up with Kat recently to find out what the inspiration behind her new collection is.

As with every one of Gee’s jewellery ranges, the collection comes with a perfectly thought out title that encapsulates the story behind the jewellery and in this case, the New Zealand Paua and its spectrum of colours.

“Our true colour isn’t black; our true colour is more complicated than that. Our colour is a mix of all the colours of the rainbow blended together. It is time that we let this colour free. Unleash the spectrum of colours and show our true selves” says Gee.

Judging by these very kiwi inspired pieces it is clear Kat Gee kept all the fashionista’s in mind for New Zealand’s biggest sporting event, offering a fashionable alternative to the black rugby shirt or painting our face with the New Zealand flag.
