What's in Jenny's handbag?

jenny_drury_handbag.jpgGloss handbag snoop Emma Smith caught up with Ketz-ke designer Jenny Drury and before having a good old rummage through her bag, discovered Jenny began her career in fashion at just 17 years old working in retail.  She then went on to create labels EZZUE for women and IZAAK for men.

In 2006 Jenny spotted a gap in the Australasian market between boutique and streetwear for a label with feminine styling and a distinct creative edge, so she created Ketz-ke.

The label quickly developed an avid fan base all of whom loved the brand’s fantastic fit, distinctive colours, versatile fabrics and reasonable price points.

Jenny is so passionate about designing Ketz-ke and loves providing women with continually evolving style options that sees them dressed with an edge as well as function and wearability.

But back to her handbag – just what is it that Jenny carries around with her? Let’s find out.

Do you prefer a small or large handbag?
LARGE for sure. I have never been good with small handbags. I always try to overfill them and then the shape looks distorted as well as having everything falling out.

Do you have a favourite style?
I am very lucky in that I design handbags for the Ketz-ke range so my choices are endless. Like my clothing I am always looking for the next best thing in handbags. At the moment I love colourful handbags. They make a real statement and make a nice change from black.

What can’t you leave home without?
The list is huge – hence the big handbag!!
Where do I start…. There are the four shades of MAC Lipglass, wallet, i phone, pen and notebook, perfume and then there is usually a water bottle and a snack for Matt my 8 year old son. Oh and I mustn’t forget the two pairs of sunglasses (I have two just so I can choose one that goes best with whatever I am wearing)

What don’t you need?
Probably 90 per cent of the things in my bag. But I’m the perfect person to be around when you are looking for a plaster for your cut finger, a hair tie for your hair, baby wipes to wipe up a mess , sunscreen,  or a pair of sunglasses because I have them all in my handbag – JUST IN CASE!!!

What’s the most embarrassing thing to fall out of your bag?
Thankfully I don’t think I have had an embarrassing moment. Another good reason to have a big handbag I say – they are too sturdy to tip over and all the little things can’t fall out because there are too many big things on top of them!!

Jenny has very kindly given us one of her Ketz-ke handbags to give away! If you'd like to be into win, click here.
