The Screen Actors Guild Awards were held in LA last Monday, and once again, while some celebs hit the mark in gorgeous gowns, there were the inevitable fashion failures.   Check out the best and worst looks below.

Best

Mila Kunis in Alexander McQueen
This was my favourite dress of the evening – I love the beautiful jewel tones and the draping style, effortless and elegant.

January Jones in Carolina Herrera
Ok, January Jones is officially my red carpet favourite.  After wearing a super sexy and revealing red dress at the Golden Globes, she completely switches it up in this beautiful Carolina Herrera gown.  Old Hollywood glam at its best and the hair is amazing too.

Sofia Vergara in Roberto Cavalli
Va va voom!  Sofia looks amazing in this form-fitting Roberto Cavalli gown – I love the gorgeous sapphire blue and the dress fits her like a glove.  She looks sexy without looking tarty.

Natalie Portman in Azzarro
Natalie is absolutely glowing in this gorgeous white gown (this is how you wear white without looking like a bride!)  The fact that it is blinged-out with over $2 million worth of Tiffany jewels helps too.

Worst

Jane Lynch in Ali Rahimi
OMG – this is quite horrific – everything from the bridesmaid dress lavender colour to the weird two-tiered poufy skirt, it’s all wrong.  Go sleek and simple next time Jane!

Christina Hendricks in L’Wren Scott
It’s disappointment after disappointment for Christina! When she gets it right, she really gets it right, but, on the flip side, when she gets it wrong she gets it wrong. Big time.  It sort of reminds me of one of Hugh Hefner’s robes.

Claire Danes
I’m not really a fan of this weird fabric, and the weird ruffle at the top of the bust.  And that belt is completely wrong!  It’s too chunky and the fact that it hangs down makes it look like the belt from a karate robe.  Strange, as she looked great at the Globes.  Different stylist perhaps?

Winona Ryder in Alberta Ferreti
I had the same problem with Jennifer Love Hewitt’s Golden Globes dress – I repeat, it is not your wedding so don’t wear a dress that resembles a wedding dress!  Her high pony makes her look about 16 years old too, unfortunately.
