In less than a week, New Zealand is hosting the most important rugby event in history.

Gloss asked Susana Sarmiento, Self-Image & Style Expert from La’Qua Image, to give us some practical and stylish tips on how to dress for a live rugby game.

It's important for you to be comfortable, stylish, weather proof and versatile, especially if you’re heading out after the game.

Susana's Top Tips:

If it’s likely to be cold, wear a nice merino camisole so you keep warm, without adding bulk. You can’t go wrong with some good jeans, paired with a nice shirt or tunic and a jacket or smart casual coat.

If you’re going to be walking to the game, wear some comfortable casual trainers (not sport shoes), ballet slippers or a pair of flat boots work a treat. If there’s no walking involved, opt for wedged shoes. This style shoe is a bit more dressy but still comfortable.

To finish the look, your makeup should be natural, not overdone.  Oh and don’t forget to take a scarf!

If you are thinking of kicking up your heels after the games and have your own transport, take a change of shoes to change into. If your game jacket is a bit casual you can also have a dressier jacket in the car for the celebrations afterwards.
