Shopaholics like me are always looking for new ways to pick up a unique piece or fashion bargain away from the mall or high street. There are so many ways you can shop that are outside the traditional methods of hitting the chain stores or designer boutiques. In today’s economic climate, we are all looking for ways to save money and help sustain our resources, and there are ways you can do this while still indulging in your favourite pastime – shopping! So, if you’re over the chain stores and want to pick up something unique, without breaking the bank, here are a few of my recommendations.

That old cliché ‘don’t judge a book by its cover’ is certainly true in almost every sense, but when it comes to a job interview, you will be judged on the first impression you make. So in this sense, the way you dress is crucial to presenting yourself in the best possible light. You certainly wouldn’t show up at an important job interview dressed in your ripped jeans (fashionable as they are), or your trusty Chuck Taylors (even thought they are always in style). What’s deemed fashionable is not always appropriate in the workplace or corporate worlds, but that doesn’t mean you can’t put use clothing to the best possible advantage when going for an interview.
Do you have too many clothes in your wardrobe? If we remember that fashion is on the outside and style comes from within, we truly begin to understand that style is not about having the most expensive clothes, following the latest trends, or having a wardrobe full of clothes.
Have you ever fallen in love with a dress on the hanger only to find that when you try it on it makes your butt look big? Even size 8’s have this problem, truly, you are not alone!!! We are not all perfect clothes hangers however we can all look great, it is just a matter enhancing our good features and hiding our flaws...
Last week, I was lucky enough to be treated to a bra-fitting and some beautiful new lingerie courtesy of the lovely ladies at Triumph. I must confess, that at the age of 24, like many women, I had never had a professional bra fitting done before. Finding the right bra can be difficult – in fact, it is estimated that up to 80% of women are wearing the wrong bra size. So a professional bra-fitting should really be treated as a necessity, not a luxury!
