Now Dara lives an uncomplicated life. Pizza with friends on Wednesday, salsa class on Friday, and Saturday nights with her boyfriend. Some might say it’s safe. Buts it’s exactly the way she likes it. And apart from the odd, fleeting moment, she’s never thought about the man who abandoned her family.

Then her sister gets sick, and Dara’s carefully ordered life falls apart. Suddenly she must find the father who could be their last hope. As she uncovers some truths about her father, and herself, Dara discovers that to let life in, sometimes you just have to let go…..

This is Ciara Geraghty’s third book, she did not write her first book until she was 34 after attending a Creative Writing  course in the evenings. I am so pleased she discovered her talent for story telling as her books are truly brilliant and this latest novel is no exception.

This story will pull at your heart strings and the characters will quickly feel your friends. It is filled with humour and love and is just as comforting as a hug from a loved one. I have to say she gives her Irish competitor Marian Keyes a run for her money!
