Dress for Success is holding an inorGLAMic event where women can come and get rid of their unwanted corporate clothing by ‘giving it to a girlfriend’.

Bring along your clothing, accessories and handbags to inorGLAMics on Saturday 9th October at Grey Lynn Community Centre between 10-2pm.

Dress for Success is a not-for-profit organisation that helps out-of-work women get into the workforce by building their confidence through their wardrobe.

Executive Manager of Dress for Success Auckland, Julie Mackey, says this day is about empowering women to help each other, not feel sorry for less fortunate women.

“The slogan ‘give it to a girlfriend’ is strong, empowering and does not fall into the pity trap that many charities fall into,” says Mackey.

“Our ladies don’t want pity.  They want the chance to help themselves.”

The host of the event will be Dress for Success’ National Ambassador and one of New Zealand’s favourite entertainers, Tina Cross.

As well spot prizes and makeovers available on the day, everyone who donates clothing or accessories is in the draw to win Auckland’s biggest Pamper Hamper with products from L’Oreal and The Body Shop.
