Sorting out the facts from the fiction, the myths from the truth can be tricky so Libragirl is here to help. So click on --- and let's get MYTH BUSTING. Image

Myth #1

You can't wash your hair or have a shower or bath when you have your period.
WRONG!  It is really important that you wash when you have your period so you don't have an odour problem.

Myth#2

If both the girl and the guy have braces, the braces will stick together when they kiss.
WRONG! This is an urban myth.  You can easily kiss if you have braces without causing any damage or sticking to anyone.

Myth#3

Breasts stop growing the moment you get your period.
WRONG! Your breasts may start developing before your period starts and they continue to grow until you are about 20.

Myth#4

Every girl has been kissed by 14.
WRONG! The average age for a first serious boyfriend is 15 ... before then most guys are not ready to do the GF/BF thing.

Myth#5

Everyone will know when I have my period.
WRONG!  And you can test this out ... look at all the women at the shops next time you are out. Many of them will have their period. Can you tell who does and who doesn't?

Myth#6

Bras give you breast cancer.
WRONG! Bras do NOT  give you breast cancer ... there is scientific proof to support that.

Myth#7

If you use tampons you are not a virgin.
WRONG!  Virgins can use tampons and they are still virgins if they haven't had sex.

So there you go.  These are just some of the myths. If you know more, then send them to Libragirl via short and curlies 'cos I'm making a list and would love your help.
