•What does a typical day for you involve?

My days vary but a typical one is always busy! If I’m not writing articles and meeting deadlines, I will be searching and collating images, trialing new treatments and products, filing press releases, going to meetings and beauty launches and interviewing industy folk. Basically, a lot of multi-tasking!

•Best thing about your job?

I love everything about my job but in particlular I love getting to meet so many inspiring people who are passionate about the beauty industry and who are often on the edge of new discoveries and technology. Oh and the perks are pretty good too!

•What key makeup trend are you loving right now?

I’m loving the bright colour that is filtering through this spring for the eyes, the lips and the nails. I’m happily saying goodbye to blacks and browns!

•Biggest beauty blunder?

Women wearing the wrong foundation for their skin type and tone, too much bronzer or badly applied fake tan. Although, I’m sure I have been guilty of it in the past!

•Who is your beauty icon?

I really love Diane Kruger and Kate Bosworth’s style. They both have a very natural but sophisticated look. They get their hair and make-up right every time.

•What’s the best beauty tip you have discovered?
Apart from starting young and having a good, daily skincare routine, I think it’s really important to keep your skin well hydrated. I love using vitamin C enriched serums in the morning and rosehip oil at night. You can almost see your skin soak up all the goodness. And drinking two litres of water a day is a must.

•Your desert island beauty products?

Sunscreen, foundation (I hate being without it!), mascara, pink lipgloss.

•What’s in your makeup bag?

I’ll give you the short verison! Chanel foundation, Clarins concealer, Dior bronzer, Lancome blusher, Bobbi Brown cream eyeshadows, M.A.C eye pencils, Maybelline mascara.

•What does beauty mean to you?

Beauty is when someone is smiling, when their skin radiates from the inside out and when they are exuding happiness.

•What beauty trends are coming through for spring?

It’s all about colour this Spring. We are heading back to the 80’s! Coloured eyeliner and eyeshadow is huge – especially blue tones. Lips are either strong and bold, sheer or nude. False lashes are still around and the cheeks are more bronzed than they are pink. For the nails, think pink, purple, orange or coral.
