The Gloss team picks our favourite celebrity hair looks for 2010.

Emma Watson’s Pixie Cut
Easily our favourite look of the year, and one of the most dramatic celebrity transformations seen in a while.  Cutting off her hair instantly took Emma from girl next door to fashionista.  Hermione Granger is all grown up!

Rachel Bilson’s Ombre Hair
The ombre look was surely the biggest trend in hair this season, both in Hollywood and back home in NZ (with many a fashionista wearing the look at NZ Fashion Week.)  We think Rachel Bilson’s subtle, beachy style is the best, with the naturally dark roots and soft blonde ends.

Michelle Williams’ Platinum Hair Colour
We love the sweeping fringe, which gives the illusion of length to this cropped do, keeping it feminine but still edgy.  And the colour is divine – the perfect shade of platinum.

Christina Hendricks’ Red Hair
The red-headed vixen brought red-heads back into fashion with her gorgeous red hair, and also the voluminous, bombshell styles she has sported on the red carpet.

Abby-Lee Kershaw’s Blonde Bob
Aussie model Abby-Lee went blonder than blonde this year, and we love her fringed bob – something tells us this style will be around for a while.  We suspect it may be something to do with the advancing technology in hair colours, but it seems it’s becoming easier to achieve a beautiful shade of platinum blonde.

Katy Perry's Beautiful Brown Locks
We love the Californian cutie’s beautiful long, dark locks just because they always look so healthy, shiny and natural.  A really deep shade of brunette is beautiful, and it emphasises Katy’s porcelain skin and big brown eyes.  Beautiful!  (We’ll forget about that blue wig though...)

Kelly Osborne's Ponytail
No, definitely not that granny purple rinse she tried earlier this year, but Kelly’s been wearing a super-cute retro ponytail lately and we love it! Her transformation to style icon is well on its way!
